Discipleship & Leadership Training
Methods
of Discipleship: People who newly come to faith in
the church usually have very little Biblical knowledge or experience of
Christianity, for this reason the church relies on the following resources to
disciple people from the point of first coming to faith
thorugh to the point when some are invited to enter a position of leadership in
the church.
1. Basic Lessons of the Faith: 18 lessons which are studied one-on-one with a mature believer. People must complete this series of scripturally based topical lessons in order to be baptized. Since these lessons are done one-on-one, the discipler is able to answer specific questions, deal with areas of struggle, and pray for the person individually. |

2. After baptism people have the opporunity to take part in Biblical and Leadership training offered through the church. Various opportunities are offered including the Hasat seminars- courses on the Bible, Spiritual Life, and Christian Worldview and Doctrine. Hasat’s goal is to offer church-based holistic learning where students can grow in Biblical knowledge, love, and skills for serving. Hasat sends trained teachers from their base in Istanbul to teach these interactive seminars. The seminars are recognized by International Christian College in Glasgow, Scotland. Students have required homework and the option of receiving a certificate on completing a specified number of seminars.
3. Opportunities to serve: We believe that serving is an important way to develop and therefore encourage those who we see maturing to take part in serving by being on a worship team, helping with children’s lessons, or giving the basics of the faith lessons to another person.
